The Pacers vs. Raptors live stream online and TV coverage starts up the 2016 NBA Playoffs with Game 1 on Saturday afternoon, as the No. 2 seed hosts the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference. Toronto finished just a few games shy of the Cavs for the top spot in the East this season, but will look to get off to a good start at the Air Canada Centre. Paul George will try to help Indiana score the upset as they make their return to the postseason after a hiatus last year. The upcoming 2016 NBA live streaming online and televised Game 1 coverage comes via ESPN networks Saturday afternoon.
According to TheStar.com in their report on April 15, Toronto won the season series against the Indiana Pacers 3-1, with one of those wins coming at Indianapolis in overtime. However, their most recent game, on April 8 in Toronto may show that the Raptors will be too much for the Pacers in this first round series. In that game, Toronto won 111-98 but Kyle Lowrly, DeMar DeRozan and Luis Scola all sat out. Norm Powell came up big in the win with 27 points and six rebounds, showing just how much depth the No. 2 seed in the East possesses.
As for the Pacers’ sole win against Toronto this past season, it came on Dec. 14 in Indianapolis. The difference in this game was the 18 turnovers committed by the Raptors. They had started out with a nice 26-5 lead, only to later give up a 42-6 run to the home team. Center Jordan Hill came off the bench to score a team-high 20 points along with grabbing nine boards, while Monta Ellis had 18 and Paul George had 16 in the win. Indiana shot at 47.7 percent in the win including going 10-for-22 from three-point range. They’ll need to do more of the same if they want to pull off the upset road win in Toronto Saturday.
Odds makers had Toronto as a 7-point favorite for this first game of the series as of Friday night. On the moneyline, the Raptors were priced at -300, while Indiana was a +250 underdog. The over/under points total was at 194 for the complete game. Future odds at Vegas Insider indicate that the Raptors are 50 to 1 favorites to win the 2015-16 NBA Finals. The Indiana Pacers are more of a longshot, currently at 200 to 1 odds to win it all this postseason.
