The Oklahoma vs. Kansas live stream online and televised 2016 NCAA basketball team will feature the top two teams in the nation squaring off on Lawrence, Kansas on Monday night. The No. 1 Jayhawks will look to extend their record to 13-1 on the season, while the Sooners, a school that has also participated in the NCAA’s College Football playoffs, will go for the upset to stay perfect on their season. It will be a battle of experienced stars and high scorers on the hardwood in an early NCAA tournament preview. The 2016 NCAA basketball live streaming and televised matchup will be presented via ESPN networks on Monday night.
According to ESPN.com in their Jan. 4 report, Oklahoma is off to its best start in nearly three decades at 12-0. On Saturday, the Sooners rallied to win a game over then-No. 11 Iowa State 87-73. Their opponents, the Kansas Jayhawks, have not lost since mid-November, when the Michigan State Spartans took them down 79-73 for their first loss of the season. The team features returning talent including Perry Ellis and Wayne Selden, while Oklahoma has four players that have each started in their last 80 games. That brings a battle of experience to the court tonight which should determine the No. 1 overall team in the Top 25 for now.
The Sooners are currently led by senior guard Buddy Hield. The 6-4 star averages 24.7 points a game along with over five rebounds and almost two assists. Ryan Spangler leads the team in both rebounding and field goal percentage, guard Isaiah Cousins is their top assists man with nearly five a game. For Kansas, Selden leads them in scoring with 15.5 a game and field goal percentage at 55.5 percent. Perry Ellis’ contribution shouldn’t be unheralded either as he not only leads the Jayhawks with 6.2 boards a game, but is second in scoring, as he puts up 15.2 a contest to add to the team’s talented lineup. All that said, this seems to have the makings of a March Madness type of matchup two months early.
Vegas odds makers first listed the Kansas Jayhawks as five-point favorites tonight, but they’ve since moved up to 7-1/2 points on the spread. On the moneyline, Kansas is a -350 favorite, while Oklahoma are +290 underdogs. The points total is 158 or slightly higher at several sports books for tonight’s game. In terms of future odds to win the NCAA Tournament, Kansas is tied for the favorites with North Carolina and Kentucky at +750. Oklahoma is a few spots down the list with odds of +1000, trailing second-favorite team Duke which is +900.
