The 2015 NFL season is winding down and we are now in Week 14 of what has been an exciting but controversial season. The NFL officiating has been horrendous this season and even the league office has acknowledged something has to be done about it. As a bettor of NFL games there is not much you can do when a ref makes a bad call that costs you a win.
Here is a list of the NFL betting odds and lines plus the over/unders for all the games this week in Week 14 of the season. The Carolina Panthers just managed to defeat the New Orleans Saints last week to stay undefeated. Can the Panthers beat the Atlanta Falcons this week?
Good luck to all the NFL teams and especially the bettors this week in Week 14 of the season!
- Vikings +7.5 at Arizona (O/U is 45.5
The Vikings got crushed last week at home by the Seahawks 38-7 while the Cardinals had no trouble beating the Rams 27-3. So Minnesota is a big 7.5 point underdog this week in the Thursday night game. The spread is big here but it’s tough to bet against Carson Palmer’s 26-8 record with Arizona and the Cardinals have won six games in a row.
- Steelers +3 at Bengals (O/U is 49)
Earlier this year the Bengals beat the Steelers 16-10 on the road and they are favored by 3 points to beat them again this week at home. This should be a great game as Ben Roethlisberger is 110-55 as a NFL starting QB and Andy Dalton is 50-25-1.
- Seattle -9 at Ravens (O/U is off)
The Seahawks have won three games in a row and look to be clicking at the right time of the year. The Ravens are having a terrible season and it’s hard to see them beating Seattle this week but can they lose by less than the spread?
- Buffalo even at Eagles (O/U is 47)
This should be a good game between two teams who really need to win to make the playoffs. The Eagles looked good beating the Patriots on the road last week but New England is really banged up. Buffalo beat Houston and looks to make it two wins in a row this week. The Eagles would be the pick here but Sam Bradford is still just 23-35-1 as a NFL QB. He is 5-5 this season.
- Falcons +7.5 at Panthers (O/U is 46.5)
The Falcons are in free-fall mode having lost five games in a row. The Panthers just barely beat the Saints last week to remain undefeated. This is a last gasp game for the Falcons this week as they have to play the Panthers again in two weeks. Look for them to come out desperate and play well this week.
- Redskins +3 at Bears (O/U is 44)
Both these teams lost tough games last week. If the Redskins had a decent QB this season they could have been dangerous but Kirk Cousins is just 7-14 lifetime as a NFL starting quarterback. Jay Cutler is 66-64.
- Chargers +10 at Chiefs (O/U is 45.5)
The Chiefs have now won six games in a row and they are favored by a big 10 points this week to beat San Diego at home. That is a big point spread to be giving up against a gun-slinging QB like Philip Rivers who is only 3-9 this season but has a lifetime mark of 91-65 in the NFL as a starting QB.
- Colts +1 at Jaguars (O/U is off)
This game is a big question mark due to the status of Matt Hasselbeck who is filling in for Andrew Luck until Week 15. If Hasselbeck plays the Colts look good but if Charlie Whitehurst has to play this week it’s not so good. Whitehurst is just 2-7 lifetime as a starting NFL QB.
- Titans +7 at Jets (O/U is 43)
This game comes down to how well Marcus Mariota plays. If you believe in him give the Titans a shot this week because the Jets are starting Ryan Fitzpatrick who is 40-60-1 lifetime in the NFL.
- 49ers +1 at Browns (O/U is 41)
Johnny Manziel is starting this week for the Browns and his lifetime record in the NFL is 1-4 as a starting QB. On the plus side for the Browns, Blaine Gabbert is 7-24 even after his OT win over the Bears last week.
- Lions +1 at Rams (O/U is 41)
Case Keenum is starting for the Rams this week and his lifetime record in the NFL as a starting QB is 2-7. Matthew Stafford is just 39-50 for the Lions but you have to give him the edge this week.
- Saints +3.5 at Buccaneers (O/U is 50.5)
The Buccaneers are making a serious playoff push this season after starting the season 2-4 but are now 6-6. The Saints put up a great fight to the undefeated Panthers last week but their defense is awful and they have now lost four straight games.
- Raiders +7.5 at Broncos (O/U is 43.5)
The Broncos are now 3-0 with Brock Osweiler at QB but the Raiders should play like a desperate team this week because if they lose another game they are out of the playoff race. In the NFL you are usually better off going with the more desperate team all else considered.
- Cowboys +7 at Packers (O/U is 44)
The Cowboys are another desperate team but beating Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in Lambeau is a tall order for any team. It is going to be very interesting to see if the Cowboys can play the Packers tough this week and possibly win to keep their playoff hopes alive. That was a fun win the Cowboys got over the Redskins on Monday night.
- Patriots -3 at Texans (O/U is 45)
The Patriots injuries on offense are finally catching up with the team as they have dropped two games in a row. Now Tom Brady and company have to travel to Houston to play J.J. Watt and the Texans on Sunday night. Could the Patriots actually lose three games in a row? Due to injuries it’s certainly possible but it’s tough to bet against Belichick and Brady in the NFL.
- New York Giants -1.5 at Miami (O/U is 47)
The Giants have probably now blown too many second half and fourth quarter leads in 2015 for Tom Coughlin to survive as head coach. If you want to bet the Dolphins in this game, though, you are relying on Ryan Tannehill and his 28-32 record as a NFL starting QB. If the Giants can patch up the OL enough this week they should win this game.
