Injuries finally caught up to the New England Patriots and they dropped a tough OT loss last week to the Denver Broncos in Mile High on Sunday night leaving just the Carolina Panthers as the only undefeated team in the NFL in Week 13. Can the Panthers win this week to remain undefeated?
Here is a list of the betting odds and lines plus the over/unders for all the games in the NFL this week in Week 13 of the 2015 season. On paper, the Carolina Panthers should have an easy win this week vs a lousy 4-7 team but NFL games are not played on paper.
- Packers -3 at Lions (O/U is 47)
The Packers come into this game having lost to the Bears on Thanksgiving and having lost four of their last five games including a loss to the Lions. Detroit comes into the game on a three game winning streak. Aaron Rodgers is 77-27 as a NFL starting QB while Matthew Stafford is 39-49 so the Packers have the edge there but if you believe in momentum take the Lions.
- New York Jets -2 at New York Giants (O/U is 45)
One day Giants management will realize Tom Coughlin can’t motivate his team anymore maybe before he turns 100. You still have to like the Giants in this game, though, because Eli Manning is 96-82 as a NFL starting QB and the Jets Ryan Fitzpatrick is 39-60-1.
- Seattle -1 at Vikings (O/U is 41.5)
This is a tough game to call this week. Russell Wilson is 42-17 as a NFL starting QB. Teddy Bridgewater is now 14-9. So both teams have quarterbacks who know how to win games. This should be a good game this week in Week 13 of the 2015 NFL season.
- Arizona -5.5 at Rams (O/U is 43)
The Rams have now lost four straight games and the Cardinals have won five straight. Is there any reason to believe that will change this week? The Rams did beat Arizona 24-22 back in Week 6 with Nick Foles at QB.
- Texans +3 at Bills (O/U is 41.5)
The Texans have won four straight games and the Bills have lost two straight but Buffalo is favored in this game? As has been pointed out here all season long, Brian Hoyer has a winning 14-9 record as a starting QB in the NFL. If you’ve been winning with Houston why stop betting them now when you get points?
- Bengals -7 at Browns (O/U is 44)
After two straight losses the Bengals righted the ship last week by crushing the Rams 31-7. The Browns have lost six games in a row. Josh McCown is now 18-39 as a NFL starting QB while Andy Dalton is 49-25-1. Upsets do happen in the NFL all the time but this is a tough one to try and bet the underdog in.
- Falcons +2 at Buccaneers (O/U is 46)
After a fast 6-1 start to the season the Falcons have hit the skids losing four straight games. But they should be a live underdog this week vs Tampa. Matt Ryan is 72-49 as a NFL starting QB.
- 49ers +7 at Bears (O/U is 43)
The 49ers gave the Cardinals a game last week only losing by a score of 19-13 but Blaine Gabbert is now 6-24 lifetime as a NFL starting QB. You have to be crazy or get really incredibly good odds to bet a QB like that in the NFL.
- Jaguars +2.5 at Titans (O/U is 43)
The Jaguars were favored at home last week and lost to the Chargers. That was fairly predictable. This week the Jags should be a live underdog vs a terrible 2-9 Tennessee Titans team. The NFL has some really crappy teams in 2015.
- Ravens +4.5 at Dolphins (O/U is 45)
Ryan Tannehill is now 27-32 as a NFL starting QB. Matt Schaub started a NFL game for the first time since 2013 for the Ravens and left right off where he finished by throwing a pick-six but he did lead the Ravens to a win over the Browns. That raised Schaub’s lifetime record in the NFL to 47-44.
- Broncos -4.5 at Chargers (O/U is 43.5)
Brock Osweiler has led the Broncos to two wins in his first two games as a starting QB. Can he do it again this week vs the Chargers? San Diego won last week as an underdog and if the price is right they might be worth another outright win bet this week.
- Chiefs -3 at Raiders (O/U is 44)
The Chiefs have now won five straight games to improve their record to 6-5. The Raiders had trouble beating the lowly Titans last week but a win is a win in the NFL. Can the Raiders beat the Chiefs this week at home? Get good odds if you want to make the bet.
- Panthers -7 at Saints (O/U is 49.5)
Will the Carolina Panthers go a perfect 16-0 this season? On paper, the Panthers have a great shot because their remaining games are vs the Giants, the faltering Falcons twice, the Buccaneers and the Saints this week. Not a tough schedule but one of those teams will probably pick them off. Will it be the Saints this week?
- Eagles +9.5 at Patriots (O/U is 48.5)
The Eagles are in free-fall mode but 9.5 points is a lot to give up in a NFL game especially considering how banged up the Patriots are. Gronk is probably not playing this week so who is Tom Brady going to throw to? This is a tough game to bet because of all the uncertainty concerning these two teams with the Patriots injuries and the Eagles overall mess.
- Colts +6.5 at Steelers (O/U is N/A)
The over/under for this game is unavailable due to Ben Roethlisberger’s condition but the Steelers are favored by 6.5 over the Colts. Matt Hasselbeck is now 4-0 this season at age 40 and he has raised his lifetime mark in the NFL to 84-72 as a starting QB. If the Dallas Cowboys had Hasselbeck backing up Tony Romo instead of Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel they might have had a season this year.
- Cowboys +4 at Redskins (O/U is 42)
The Cowboys will run out Matt Cassel at QB this week after Tony Romo injured his collarbone again and is out for the season. Cassel is 0-4 for the Cowboys in 2015. Bill Belichick got a 10-5 season out of Matt Cassel when Tom Brady was injured in 2008 which shows how good a coach Belichick is. Somehow Todd Haley also got a 10-5 season out of Cassel in 2010 for the Chiefs but other than those two seasons Cassel is 14-32 as a NFL QB.
