Surf expo brings together surf lifestyle brands each year. Many new surfing and beach products are introduced each year at the January and September expos. One new watercraft innovation that was being shown was called “Water Blade”. Water Blade is new brand that introduced an inflatable motorized SUP and a stand-on-top watercraft shaped like a stingray. See slide show. Click HERE for a video from Surf Expo.
Water Blade was invented by architect Gameli Cruz in 2014 who wanted to create a new product where people could glide over water on watercraft using leg strength and or a motorized system. The Water Blade booth had good foot traffic, but only time will tell if Water Blades will catch on.
Also in the Water Blade booth was a SUP brand called STABAL. These SUPs are made in China by a company called RubberDuck Watersports Company. The company is located in Shandong Province, China. Rubber Duck makes a whole line of inflatable water craft.
STABAL SUPs are design and manufactured with high performance as being the standard. STABAL boards are hand-made using the best drop-stitch fabric available. Each STABAL SUP is rigid enough to handle all the most challenging waves. The SUP can be inflated to the maximum pressure of 20 psi.
STABAL board can be inflated in a few minutes with a high-pressure hand pump, which comes with each SUP. All the SUPs can be easily folded and packed into a backpack that makes taking your SUP board a plane, bus, car, train, motorcycle or a yacht real easy. If you live in an apartment storing this SUP is very easy as it does not take up the space of standard rigid SUP.
