The next “NCIS: Los Angeles” episode is all about cleaning up – Kensi’s desk and an undercover crisis, apparently. On Friday, March 25, CBS released sneak peeks teasing what to expect in season 7 episode 20 “Seoul Man” (and announced the series has been renewed for season 8).
In this episode, the team is assigned to protective details for the commander of the Pacific Command and searches for a North Korean spy. As you can see in the promo, things get a bit wild for just a protective service detail. Don’t forget to check out the slideshow to see the promotional photos that were previously released.
The first “NCIS: LA” 7×20 sneak peek shows Sam and Callen finding Deeks cleaning Kensi’s desk – and advising against what he deems an intervention of sorts for Kensi’s “addiction” to mess. And they’re right, as Kensi doesn’t react well when she walks over. Not only can she not find anything now, but Deeks also accidentally vacuums up father’s rifle expert badge that she was going to get framed. He does get it out of the vacuum but dirties up his own desk in the process.
Work then comes calling, as Hetty and Granger tell them they’ve been assigned to a personal security operation for the next 48 hours. They’re a bit surprised, considering it’s not what they do, but apparently it’s an all hands on deck situation. The commander of Pacific Command is coming to town, along with high-level Navy officials from nine Asian allies to discuss developments in the South China Sea, specifically, new artificial islands. And no, they can’t have cuff mics. Sorry, Deeks.
In the second “Seoul Man” clip, Sam rejoices in a decent mattress after the one in the apartment where he’s been staying; he can’t stay at the safe house because it could risk his family’s safety. But hey, Callen does have a guest futon that has never been used if he wants.
As for the case, Kensi and Deeks have made contact with a South Korean intelligence officer, Ahn, and there are concerns of a possible North Korean double agent in the South Korean entourage. When Hetty alerts Sam and Callen to a bottle in the minibar containing ipecac, Sam points out one of them could have opened it. Well, they didn’t, but she advises that they use it with discretion. There has to be more to this than a protective service operation, such as an undercover assignment to smoke out a North Korean mole, but Hetty being Hetty simply ends the conversation.
“NCIS: Los Angeles” season 7 airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on CBS. What do you think of the episode 20 “Seoul Man” promos and photos? What are you hoping to see in this episode?
