The NASCAR Auto Club 400 2016 live stream online and televised Sprint Cup race will take place in California on Sunday afternoon, as the race for the championship this year continues. Kyle Busch continues to lead all drivers in the standings with 116 points, but Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano, among others, are right within contention at this early point in the season. Driver Austin Dillon will have the pole for the latest race and try to grab an important early season win for himself and his team but Harvick is right there near the front as well. The 2016 NASCAR live streaming online and TV coverage of today’s race comes via the FOX sports networks on Sunday afternoon.
According to The Sporting News in their March 20 report, Austin Dillon was able to win the XFINITY Series race on Saturday and now has the pole for this latest NASCAR race at Fontana. He’ll try to go for the sweep, but challengers Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin will start in second and third respectively. Starting in the fourth and fifth spots are Ryan Newman and Carl Edwards. Another driver to watch on the track today will be Kyle Busch who won this event twice, in 2013 and ’14. Busch will start sixth on the track, followed by Trevor Bayne, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano and Jamie McMurray to complete the first ten on the starting lineup.
The weather at the track in California will be extremely cooperative, as a beautiful forecast indicates sunny skies and temperatures ranging from 67 to 80 degrees throughout the evening. There’s expected to be a southwest wind of 5 to 10 miles per hour, and based on recent comments by Carl Edwards, that means the drivers will get to do what they love and put their skills as drivers to the test. This particular track is considered one that allows the drivers to focus on the adjustments needed on the two-mile track as it’s got a worn surface and low downforce package, which gives plenty of potential for this particular race. It will go for 200 laps until one driver crosses the finish line first and takes the checkered flag.
The odds on favorite to win today’s race is Kevin Harvick, who is priced at +450 on Bovada’s sports book. Kyle Busch has a +500 price followed by Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards with a price of +600 each. Joey Logano is at +800 while Matt Kenseth is at +850. Current future odds at Vegas Insider indicate that Kevin Harvick is a 6 to 1 favorite to win the Sprint Cup championship, while Joey Logano and Jimmie Johnson each have 7 to 1 odds. Brad Keselowski is third on the list with odds of 8 to 1, followed by Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards, each of whom have odds of 10 to 1. Completing the top five favorites to win this season is Denny Hamlin with odds of 12 to 1.
