Yes, you heard it right. Apparently, all that global warming hysteria is for naught. Those nasty CO2 emissions are not causing the earth’s atmosphere to warm up after all. No, no, no it’s just the opposite, according to the latest report from NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies.
The report has two surprise findings. First, areas where massive numbers of trees have been lost through deforestation actually see cooling temperatures. The report also states that while fossil fuels give off carbon dioxide, they also give off sulfate aerosols which contribute to atmospheric cooling.
There are other views on why cooling is happening and the length of time the cooling will influence the earth’s atmosphere.
- First, is the Pacific Ocean is taking a dramatic amount of heat out of the atmosphere because of increased easterly trade winds. The cooler ocean temperatures are in turn responsible for a “pause” in global warming.
- Another possible reason is that the sun is hibernating, which will slow down solar activity by as much as 60%. A scientific model showing that the Earth is likely to experience a “mini ice age” from 2030 to 2040 was recently unveiled by a group of European researchers to support this view.
It makes one wonder what all the global warming noise was about with the Paris conference, COP21, a few weeks ago.
Members of the Church of Climate Change cannot be too happy after years of predictions of doom and gloom, and catastrophe around every corner. The meme that 97% of the scientists agree about its disastrous effects is viewed as hyperbolic, dishonest, and just plain false to those who have taken the time to read the science. Of course, finding out that many of the climate change findings have been faked to fit the narrative hasn’t helped.
This contrary data is just one reason why climate change, formerly known as global warming, soon to morph into global cooling is not important to the American voter. Few doubt that people want clean air and water, however, the impact of changing weather patterns is not on the list of priorities. A recent Fox News poll taken after the San Bernardino shootings found only 3% of Americans consider this a serious issue.
