Nowadays, it seems that everywhere you look. In every book. In every film. There is an element of fantasy to it. From movies like Peter Jackson’s “the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien” to the very popular series Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, the 21st century has been a powerhouse for fantasy art. Many new stories, along with new authors, have taken the stage to gift the world with their deep and vivid imaginations. One such person is new to the scene. He is 33 years old and has just released his first book (Scattered Stones) of a four part series (Hill of Strangers).
The book has a vivid cast of characters that play their parts in the intro to this epic fantasy series. It is set on a distant world named Ardenia. Born of magic, it is a planet full of diverse life and built upon a heap of mysteries. The book deals with the greatest of mysteries and takes place six thousand years after the world’s creation. The Riddle of Tarmuden’s Island centers around a magic relic called the Devil’s Charm and its pursuit by a group of pirates led by the vicious Captain Blackheart. At the same time these events are unfolding, the novel also takes you along another journey with a wandering swordsman known as Arys. Masterfully, C.H. Servantes tells two very different tales that go alongside each other perfectly in the novel. His dialogues are very believable, and add so much roundness to each character, you would think they were real. The book is a fantastic introduction to the overall story that takes place over the series, where an epic battle is waged between by good and evil over the cynics of Ardenia.
With all four books already finished, C.H. Servantes is also looking into many other projects so stay tuned. His great love of mythology and his knowledge of the past, make him a great read for any reader that likes a dose of fantasy with a touch of history. And of course, if you just want straight fantasy, he delves into this as well. Book One Scattered Stones from the Hill of Strangers series is one such example. You can purchase it today on Amazon.com in either paperback or electronic format. Just type in the author’s name C.H. Servantes and get ready for a great adventure. Which stranger will you be?
