Moparpalooza is acclaimed as the largest Dodge and Chrysler event on the East Coast welcoming all SRT, RAM, AMC, Plymouth, Dodge, Fargo, DeSoto, Chrysler, Imperial, Maxwell, Chalmers, Jeep, Eagle and Fiats. The term “Mopar” has passed into broader usage among car enthusiasts as an unambiguous reference to the parent company Chrysler. The term has thus become an inclusive word for any Chrysler-built vehicle.’ Mopar or No Car! The founder Paul Immo has outdone himself again, putting together a magnificent event.
Moparpalooza has partnered with a true “Car Enthusiast” venue at Dominion Raceway to celebrate the eighth year of uniting Mopar vehicle owners to share their automotive passion for everything Mopar. The Brand New Dominion Raceway located in Thornburg, Virginia represents a new model for Motorsports facility’s and Entertainment venues. Unlike conventional Motorsports locations that are more rural, Dominion Raceway is located on Interstate I-95 with almost (1) mile of Interstate road frontage and convenient interstate ramp access. Dominion Raceway breaks the old traditional model of purchasing land in rural undeveloped area’s and trying to drive racers, fans and sponsors to that remote location.
In 2014, with the help of corporate sponsors like the Chrysler Foundation, Moparpalooza was able to raise over $50,000.00 for the Fisher House Foundation! This magnificent charity gives back to our veterans by providing free or low cost lodging to military families while they are receiving treatment at military medical centers. The Fisher House Foundation offers a “home away from home” where military families can stay and support their loved ones — at no cost — while the injured receive specialized military hospital/VA medical care. These homes allow the patients and families to focus on what’s most important, the healing process. The event will again feature a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, and merchandise for sale. We truly applaud Moparpalooza and Chrysler for their efforts and dedication to the community.
Thanks to my good friends over at Automotive Rhythms, I was able to attend this event with their 2015 Chrysler 300C Platinum edition. This phantom black tri coat pearl Chrysler 300C was a stunning automobile upon first sight. The indigo linen colored luxury leather perforated seats gave off a luxury and sports feel at the same time as well as being extremely comfortable. The 8 speed automatic transmission with the E-shifter conducts the 5.7 liter V8 Hemi MDS VVT engine with such a dynamic response. My travels to Moparpalooza was truly a fun ride with this vehicle in my hands.
With over 2,000 vehicles on hand there were plenty of sites to see. Even Ralph Gilles, President and CEO of the SRT brand, was in attendance to view the vehicles and engage the many Mopar enthusiasts. Mothers polish signed on as a product sponsor with great giveaways for all trophy winners and a lot of fans. Enjoy the gallery and we’ll see you next year.
