B Resort and Spa, an Official Walt Disney World Hotel, is a beautiful, modern hotel just blocks away from Disney Springs. A refreshing, clean vibe is everywhere throughout the brand-new, upscale resort. Some of the onside high-end amenities include a large zero-entry pool, free WiFi, an AVEDA full-service spa, complimentary shuttles to all of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and the Downtown Disney area, and preferred tee times at Disney championship golf courses, just to name a few.
A recent stay at the B Resort impressed me with the professional, friendly staff and the stunning décor. Dining at the B includes the main restaurant, American Kitchen Bar and Grill, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which focuses on classic American “comfort food” in an industrial, farmhouse-chic setting. The most fun décor item is a 1950s cherry-red, Ford F1 pickup truck. The bed of the truck houses a “flatbed” buffet salad bar in the evenings and breakfast bar in the morning. The kids will get a kick out of pretending to drive the truck from the open cab, while you get to take some fun photos. There is also a poolside bar and grill for light meals, and, of course, in-room dining is also available.
Snacks and a coffee bar are available at The Pickup, a small store that offers pastries, doughnuts, a full-service ice cream shop with dipped cones and banana splits, a wide variety of other snack food and drinks, and some sundries and merchandise for guest convenience.
B Resort offers three kinds of guest rooms – Chic, Captivating and Stuffing. Chic Rooms are located on floors 1 and 2 near the pool area and feature a private balcony or terrace as well as a bathroom with a tub. There are 20 Chic Family Rooms that also off a king bed for mom and dad and bunk beds for the kids.
Captivating Rooms are slightly larger than Chic Rooms and are located in either the tower or the pool area. Captivating rooms in the tower have floor-to-ceiling windows, two queen beds or a king bed, and a single-sized sleeper chair. A few Captivating Family Rooms offer a king-size bed and bunk beds.
Stunning Rooms are located on higher floors, with floor-to-ceiling window views of Disney Springs, Walt Disney World Resort, or the Lake Buena Vista area. Stunning Rooms include two queen beds or one king bed, plus a sleeper chair and are the largest rooms offered. Large, more luxurious suites are another option if you are traveling with a large party or just want to splurge.
One interesting fact about B Resort is that the signature blue light that highlights the hotel at night is periodically different – pink for Fight Cancer Awareness, Red for Valentine’s, Green for St. Patrick’s Day, etc. How cute is that? Love it. And that gorgeous signature multi-colored chair in the lobby – it’s imported from Italy and cost around $30,000. So be sure to get a picture in this awesome B chair.
