The migrant crisis in Europe has reached disturbing new levels. Reports surfaced on Saturday that a mob of Swedish men marched through a train station in Stockholm and began attacking anyone who did not appear to be of Swedish ethnicity.
Equipped with black masks and balaclavas, the group spared no one, going as far as attacking children. Prior to the attack, leaflets were handed out that threatened to deal with a problem the police weren’t willing to. The neo-Nazi group, the Swedish Resistance Movement, released a statement on their website supporting the actions of the attackers.
“Today were therefore 200 Swedish men to mark against the North African ‘street children’ raging around the capital’s main train station,” the statement read. “Police have clearly shown that they lack the means to repress their progress and we now see no other alternative than to themselves handing out punishments they deserve. The judiciary has left walkover and the social contract is thus broken – because it is now every Swedish man’s duty to defend our public areas for the imported crime.”
The attacks appear to be in retaliation for the killing of social worker Alexandra Mezher, who was stabbed to death at a refugee shelter. Four people were arrested during the event. One was charged with assault of an officer and the others were charged with wearing masks in public. In a statement of Aftonbladet, an eyewitness said, “I went by and saw a big black clad gangs who were masked. They came from Queen Street and walked down toward the plate and began, as I understood it, to turn immigrants. I saw maybe three people who were beaten, there was no football brawl or so. I was quite scared and walked away.”
After an initial investigation, police were able to connect the men to two Swedish football firms.
