While the most awkward part of the Miss Universe Pageant 2015, held in Las Vegas, will be the confusion of understanding the real Miss Universe titleholder as read in the last few moments of the televised pageant, the most unforgettable portion of the pageant shifted in another direction to what really contributed to making that final decision of the evening, then reading the queue card and announcing the winner amongst the final five contestants.
In our contemporary world today, strong independent women, competing for the title of Miss Universe, are recognized for exhibiting an admirable amount of self-confidence, intelligence, poise and a strong sense of style and sophistication to get them to the level that some can only dream about. This position shines a divine light on the nation for which they are competing to win the royal crown which will ultimately light up the entire universe.
As the final five competitors for 2015, Miss Philippines, Miss USA, Miss Colombia, Miss Australia and Miss France, took our breath away with their evening gown entrances down the few small steps leading to the long and retrospect runway of fashion, the rivalry became even more intense as the evening gowns chosen were a perfect match for each one of the contestants.
Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, Miss Philippines, created an air of tranquility and peace in a plunging strapless deep blue-colored gown, simple in a quick front view but striking in the back with a V formation of blue beads cast against a feminine background of white tulle. The very bottom of the evening gown revealed a slight ruffle in a complete 360 for a ravishing finish. She was aristocratically astonishing, making a few graceful turns on the stage.
Resembling an angel in her snow white evening gown which possessed a unique silky flowing cape, Olivia Jordan, Miss USA, was the all American competitor to proudly represent our nation. Fitting closely against every curve, the gown was adorned with a layer of lace and we were easily convinced that the gown simply had to be designed specifically with the lovely blond in mind.
Gazing at her audience with long dark waves of brown locks, Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, glistened in a strapless golden gown with cutaway slits, tantalizing her admirers. Many have compared Miss Colombia to the lovely Sophia Vergara, her features having an uncanny resemblance to the star. She had quite a presence on the stage and she commanded attention.
Keeping the golden theme going, Miss Australia, Monika Radulovic, also chose a golden evening gown to walk ever so much closer to the title. Mesmerizing the judges, the gown encompassed her body magically with a full-length slit right up the middle of the gown. Her smile was almost as spellbinding as her unforgettable appearance in that gown.
Rounding out the top five was Miss France, Flora Coquerel, in a fiery red strapless gown. The color red signifies heat and passion and Miss France conjured up an image of enticement in our minds. Although the evening gown was elegant and simple at first glance, hints of sparkles could be seen in parts of the gown that the cameras focused right in on.
Needless to say, each of the Miss Universe 2015 contestants were winners. They all represent the most exceptional women in the world, vying for the opportunity to share their passions, become role models for other young ladies and experience a year filled with new and exciting adventures. However, the big congratulations go out to Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, the new Miss Universe.
