Saturday’s LSU vs. Kentucky live stream online and televised 2016 NCAA basketball game leads the way for a full day of college hoops action featuring teams from the Top 25. As of right now, the Wildcats are headed to the Big Dance, but will have to close out the season against the talented Ben Simmons and LSU, before both teams move to the conference tournament. The Tigers have had a disappointing latter half of their season after a good start, but will look for a key win over their conference foes. The 2016 NCAA basketball live streaming and TV action comes via CBS networks on Saturday afternoon.
On March 4, The Courier-Journal reported good news for the Wildcats as they are expecting Derek Willis to return to the lineup after missing the last three games with a sprained right ankle. Willis suffered the injury back on Jan. 21 against Texas A&M but had started in 10-straight games prior to the setback. He’s averaged 9.9 points and 5.4 rebounds a game so far this season and also has hit three-point shots at a rate of 50 percent. The junior forward is certainly a difference maker and can be a helpful boost to an already-talented lineup as they head towards postseason play.
As for the LSU Tigers (18-12), they feature the phenomenal young superstar Ben Simmons who is averaging 19.7 points per game and just over five assists a contest. His team is third overall in the SEC and currently projected as a potential at-large bid. They’re not securely in the projected field though, but a big win on the road at Kentucky would certainly help, as would a strong showing in the NCAA Tournament. Unfortunately, they’re up against a tough stat as the Wildcats have a staggering 16-0 home record this season. LSU has won their last two road games at Florida, and more recently, at Missouri, 80-71 back on March 1.
The point spread for this game as of Friday night had Kentucky favored by as much as 13 points to win at home. Neither team has been remarkable against the spread as LSU is 13-17 overall and 3-9 away ATS, while Kentucky is 14-15-1 overall and 9-8 at home ATS. The over/under points total was set at 155 points for the complete game. The Wildcats are currently fourth overall on the future odds to win the 2016 NCAA Tournament tied with Oklahoma with odds of 11 to 1, while LSU is a longshot at 90 to 1 odds right now.
