Kenzi: “Guys, I’ve been gone for five minutes and Dyson’s turned daddy, Bo’s daddy got the welcome Magneto cell, and Dyson has hunky, yummy, hold-no-pecs son?”
“Like Father, Like Daughter” is the February 8 episode of “Lost Girl.” Warning: this article does contain spoilers. “Lost Girl” airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. CT on Syfy.
Kenzi’s back and everything was right with the world again. It was so good to see her. She brought back all the sass and the heart to hearts conversations, which we have seriously been missing. Her relationship with Bo is one of the best things about “Lost Girl,” and so it was amazing to have her back for a bit.
It would have been nice to see more of her reunions with everyone else, since most of them happened off screen. Kenzi has formed great relationships with everyone, so it would have been fun to watch Kenzi catch up with people. Kenzi could have chatted with Dyson about all she’s learned about Hale, and what life is like in Spain. Basically, more Kenzi would have been fantastic, but that’s always the case.
Let’s be honest, if Jack was all innocent and helpless in that cage, we would have been disappointed. This is Hades! He’s the freaking king of hell, so it’s not surprising that he fooled everyone with that fake painting. The question is when did he make the switch?
Jack proved that he’s someone we should fear. He’s the big bad that’s only playing innocent to get what he wants – Bo. Jack’s an exciting character to watch because he never reveals his hand, and he appears harmless. He’s much more exciting than Zeus. Hopefully, she will stay hidden to keep up the banishment appearance.
We got some Lauren answers, hooray! She wanted to expand her life so she could age with Bo. Okay, personally don’t remember her being worried about this, but it does make sense that it would be a concern of hers. Instead, Lauren turned herself into a conduit.
Right now, it’s hard to decide how to feel about this twist. Personally, Lauren trying to stay young with Bo is a little much. Maybe if they had been together for five years consistently, not on and off again with Dyson, then it wouldn’t be as crazy. What do you think, did Lauren go too far or was it super romantic?
Alicia’s still around, and she managed to learn about the fae. Mark, you had one job! While it’s nice to see Dyson making friends, this storyline with Alicia is boring. Her husband was taken over by an ancient fae, she needs to move on with her life and not dive into the fae world. We could have spent this time with Kenzi, but no. Did you enjoy Alicia’s storyline?
