Club America returned to winning with an impressive 3-0 over Dorados de Sinaloa at the Banorte Stadium in Culiacan, Mexico in the final game of Saturday action in week 4 of the Clausura 2016 of La Liga MX. America returned to the winner’s circle while Dorados reached four games without a victory, or a goal.
From the start the azulcremas went after the local squad. The home side could never get a real footing on the pitch and immediately gave up control of the ball to America. Despite the cheers and local regional “banda” playing at full blast, the “Big Fish” could do nothing to slow down the America attack.
On a free-kick close to the box, America took the lead. Paraguayan Pablo Aguilar was in a good position and found the small gap between the keeper and the near post. Aguilar headed the ball into the net to give the eagles the 1-0 in the 26th minute of play.
America kept a dominance over Dorados and before the break doubled their lead. Argentine Rubens Sambueza passed to Aguilar who headed the ball down to Osvaldo Martinez. Aguilar’s countryman was inbound and caught the bounce on the right moment to send the ball full force past goalkeeper Luis Michel for the 2-0 in the 40th minute
The eagles kept control of the game and added a third “notch” in the 87th minute to secure the “thrashing.” Andres Andrade took the ball down the near-wing then centered to Oribe Peralta who was in bound. “Hermoso” Peralta controlled the ball and fired to beat the keeper for the 3-0 in the 87th minute.
The Mexico City giants returned to winning after last week’s stumble against Santos. The victory moved America into the 5th position in La Liga MX league table. As for Dorados, they remain at the bottom of the league table with 0 points, four straight loses with no goals scored, and the risk of returning to the Ascenso MX division. The loss also puts Coach Luis Suarez’ job in danger.
