During NYFW, Leanne Marshall held her Fall/Winter 2016 runway show at The Gallery at Skylight Clarkson Square. Notable personalities in the front row included Ta’Rhonda Jones, Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, and Jay Solomon. Marshall’s collection is inspired by autumn leaves, with their multitude of changing colors, and it employs black, autumn gold, rust, bronze, burgundy, and silver hues. It also uses a wide assortment of fabrics such as silk gazaar, silk wool, chiffon, organza, beaded lace, and velvet. All of the styles are elegant, sensual, and romantically feminine.
Highlights from the collection included a black silk wool crop top with ruffle detailing paired with an autumn gold pencil skirt, an autumn gold silk charmeuse deep v gown with a graduated tier skirt, a black silk wool gown with a high neck and an organza skirt, a black silk charmeuse deep v gown with pleated tulle detailing, and a silver silk chiffon gown with pleated and texturized silk details. What an impressively glamorous collection!
