This is a given, Lauren Conrad Examiner knows they’re hungry and/ or thirsty for water and fruit after intense running or any type of cardio of weight lifting, and bikram yoga especially. But the dilemma Lauren Conrad tackles today at LaurenConrad.com is determining whether a late afternoon snack is a your body wanting more food, or your brain playing tricks on you when your stressed.
If there’s nothing else you do in terms of food throughout the day, then it’s to see if you’re having 3 regular meals a day. In order to cut down on late day snacking, you have to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and that starts by planning out your meals for the week.
Plus, there are no excuses in failing to plan out your meals, as well as emotions or stress getting in the way if you end up grabbing an unhealthy snack. But if you have to snack at times during the day, keep healthy snacks at your workplace or in your bag if you must have that late day snack, and craving unhealthy snacks could mean you weren’t actually too hungry.
In all this effort to curb your late day snacking, make sure your body stays well hydrated by drinking plenty of water, because hunger could be dehydration in disguise. And in all your food intake, please write everything you eat down on a daily basis so you can see exactly what you ate, and adjust it accordingly to make better choices.
