The Lakers vs. Warriors live stream online and televised matchup arrives as part of a 2016 NBA doubleheader on Thursday night. Kobe Bryant will continue his farewell tour around the league, this time taking his 9-31 Los Angeles team to the home of the league’s best. The Golden State Warriors dropped just their third game of the season last night on the road against Denver 112-110, so look for them to try to bounce back at home. Can Kobe and company hand Steph Curry’s crew loss number four, and their first back-to-back game losing streak? The 2016 NBA live streaming and TV coverage comes via TNT networks on Thursday night.
According to ESPN.com in their Jan. 14 report, it is likely that tonight’s game may see Kobe Bryant sidelined due to nagging injuries. That could be helpful for fellow All-Star Stephen Curry, as the team will want to keep him, and his other most valuable personnel, healthy. A blowout situation tonight could certainly allow coach Luke Walton the liberty to do that. The Warriors currently have a 36-game winning streak at their home arena, and with a third loss given to them just last night at Denver, it’s likely they’ll take out their frustrations on a lowly Lakers team. In last night’s game, Curry had a key turnover with just eight seconds to go which helped Denver seal a close win.
The Lakers are coming off a 95-91 victory last night against the New Orleans Pelicans. Kobe was out of the game as of the first half. Guard tandem Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams combined for 37 points. Rookie D’Angelo Russell added another 13 off the bench while the Lakers hit 25-of-32 free throws at home compared to just 9-of-14 for the visitors. The Pelicans were led by Tyreke Evans with 25 points in the loss. The Lakers lost at home 109-88 to the Warriors back on Jan. 5 behind Klay Thompson’s 36 points at the Staples Center. Prior to that, Los Angeles dropped a game 111-77 in a rout on Nov. 24 at Golden State.
Vegas odds makers first listed Golden State as 17-point favorites and they have since moved to 18-point favorites at many books. The Warriors are also heavy moneyline favorites of as much as -8500 at some books, while Los Angeles is a +2000 underdog. The over/under points total is hovering as high as 218 points for the game. On the future odds list, Golden State currently leads all teams with 7 to 5 odds to win the 2016 NBA Finals. Los Angeles is tied for second to last at 9999 to 1 odds along with Phoenix, Denver and Brooklyn.
