The Kentucky vs. Alabama live stream online and televised 2016 NCAA basketball game takes place on Saturday evening as the Wildcats cling to their spot in the top 10 of the rankings. The Crimson Tide will try for a major upset just two days before their football team tries to add another Championship to their resume. Kentucky is trying to do the same, after failed expectations in the prior season, but is still waiting for their latest class of talented stars to completely gel. The 2016 NCAA live streaming online and televised basketball matchup arrives through ESPN and SEC Network on Saturday night.
According to 247 Sports in their Jan. 8 report, the latest game arrives just as Kentucky has “self-reported” itself for a minor “Level III” incident involving their team’s super fan, Drake. The rap star apparently appeared in a photo with Tyler Ulis after a concert in Chicago back in May of last year. The rules violation was reported in October but has just recently been uncovered by the media. This is considered a not so serious violation and is the second time Drake has been involved in a violation with the team. The first came in 2014 when the rapper posted photos with various scholarship players or potential recruits during Big Blue Madness. It’s unknown if the Grammy-nominated rap star will be making an appearance at tonight’s road game, but he has been sighted at a recent Pepperdine game.
All that aside, the game will still be played tonight, and the No. 9 Wildcats are a slight favorite on the road. At 11-3, they’ve dropped games to UCLA, Ohio State, and most recently were upset by conference rivals LSU behind Tim Quarterman and rising young star Ben Simmons. The Wildcats were out rebounded in that game 46-32 and had 14 turnovers. They also hit just slightly over half of their free throws and had 25 personal fouls compared to LSU’s 17. In this second conference road game, they’ll want to avoid those same mistakes to prevent a two-game slide. Alabama at 9-4 is coming off a 74-66 loss to Mississippi in which they had 19 turnovers and were out rebounded 37-30. With that in mind, both the Crimson Tide and Wildcats will be trying to bounce back and continue to bolster their NCAA tournament resumes.
Odds makers first listed the Wildcats as four point favorites, but the line has since risen to about six points in their favor for Saturday’s game. On the moneyline, Kentucky is priced at -285 while Alabama are +243 home underdogs. The points total for this game is set around 133-1/2 points for the complete game. On the future odds, Kentucky is a 14 to 1 favorite to win it all, ranking them fifth on the list. Kansas leads all teams with odds of 13 to 2, followed by Michigan State at 15 to 2 odds.
