Will you be one of the 20 on March 20th to make and decorate your own panorama Easter egg and Easter cookies at Kathy’s Kreative Kakes?
One of the most renowned bakeries in the Bay Area, Kathy’s Kreative Kakes specializes in creative baking and cake decorating for all of life’s celebrations. They offer a variety of services from designing exquisite wedding cakes to building unique celebration cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, and cookies. For over 38 years they’ve served their customers and supported their community, and they are doing it again by offering this workshop for 20 attendees on Sunday, March 20th from 1-3pm.
The panorama Easter egg is nearly a lost art, and by participating in this event, you have a chance to build a little something that will have a huge impact, no matter where you have your Easter dinner. The panorama Easter egg is a hollow egg made entirely of sugar, with a little window – sometimes as small as a peephole – on one side of an upright egg or at one end of an egg on its side. Through the window, you can view an idyllic spring scene of bunnies and spring chicks or frosting flowers.
This hollow sugar egg hails from Victorian Easter traditions, where women frequently made these eggs as treasures to give to friends and family, and they were handed down as family heirlooms. Kathy’s Kreative Kakes helps by preparing the blank sugar eggs (and the cookies!) for you. You bring your unique and creative touch by personalizing it.
Sugar bunnies, eggs, butterflies, flowers, and chicks are also provided for you to build a scene inside your egg and decorate the outside with beautiful spring flowers. They’re pulling out all stops by having special colored sugars and decorative items to make your cookies ‘Springalicious!’
Want to make it extra special? Bring your own cherished items or vintage Easter pictures to put inside your eggs! Bam! The staff at Kathy’s will help you make an amazing piece, which is why they’re limiting this to 20 attendees only. Children are allowed, as well, with children under six years old accompanied by an adult. What a great way to build memories with this one-on-one time!
Each egg you’ll decorate is medium in size, at approximately 6″ tall, and you will also head home with six sugar cookies. How will you decorate your eggs, bunnies, flowers, and chicks? Spring has definitely sprung! This is perfect for a very wonderful Easter treat to keep for yourself or to gift to another. You can also order an additional panorama Easter egg or extra cookies in batches of six.
Register today to reserve your spot. You can call them or e-mail, and the registration price? It’s a steal at $50 per person. (When else will you be motivated to buy all the supplies, do the research, and set up shop in your home kitchen to make one of these heirloom pieces?) Check out the 411 below and register today by calling or e-mailing. Don’t miss out, as there are only 20 spots available!
