Kanye West released a new song with lyrics about Taylor Swift that may make you cringe. It is straight forward, so you really can’t spin it into anything else than what it says, but that’s not stopping West from trying. It almost sounds like he has a fixation on Swift or some kind of bizarre infatuation for the young singer.
According to MSN Entertainment News, Kanye sings or raps,”I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. / Why? I made that (expletive) famous.” This line borders on disgusting and it has grabbed the attention of Swift’s fans, who are far from happy with West’s words.
West premiered his song “Famous” at Madison Square Garden on Thursday and this lyric was heard loud and clear. Today West is denying that he dissed Swift with this lyric, but what do you call trying to take credit for her fame?
What does Kim Kardashian have to say about her husband’s infatuation with this young blonde singer? “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex!” There’s not much wiggle room in this line, West feels that he still might have sex with Taylor one day- period.
Fox News reports that West took to Twitter and in a rant tried to explain what he meant by this lyric. He also stated that he had his wife’s approval as well as Swifts. While his wife, Kim Kardashian, hasn’t commented on this, Taylor Swift has and she’s not at all OK with this lyric. Swift’s rep said she was “bothered” by this line. Her rep also said in a statement:
“Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’”
Still West spewed on Twitter that after speaking to Taylor for an hour on this, she is fine with it. It sounds as if West is living in a world where he only hears what he wants to hear. His Twitter rant even states that Taylor gave him “her blessing,” not to mention him claiming that she “thought it was funny.” Really?
When trying to explain his words about making Taylor famous, he actually defends this by saying it was Taylor who came up with this. He goes on to say that Taylor once said I can’t be mad at Kanye because he made me famous. No, most folks are sure that Taylor Swift knows her fame came from all her hard work and had nothing at all to do with West.
He closed his rant on Twitter by twisting the situation and making himself the victim saying, “Stop trying to demonize real artist Stop trying to compromise art.” Then he praised his own show saying “It felt like a seen [sic] from The Warriors ALL GODS ALL GODS ALL GODS in the buildin [sic].” You can almost hear what the collective thoughts out there are thinking about West today. Can this man’s head get any bigger?
