Apparently, laziness in America has definitely gotten out of hand. A woman in California angered dog owners everywhere after a video was shot of her driving down the street with a Pit Bull running beside the car.
The lazy dog owner was caught on camera by another motorist. While driving in a Stockton neighborhood, Amanda Brajkovich was appalled when she witnessed the helpless dog being forced to run alongside a moving vehicle. Instantly irate about the situation, she whipped out her cell phone and began filming.
Brajkovich even took it a step further and confronted the insensible dog owner with questions about the animal being dragged. According to Inside Edition, who also posted the video, the dog owner did not seem concerned.
“He wasn’t being dragged. I was watching his leash. There was no tension.”
The angry Brajkovich said she heard the dog yelp and accused the owner of cruelty.
Later, the Stockton Police Department took a look at the video, but did not find any evidence of animal cruelty. However, they did note that the lazy pet parent could have been charged with distracted driving if an officer had witnessed the incident.
Hoping the video will encourage others to treat pets better, Brajkovich shared the footage on various social media sites. Earlier this year, a woman in Wisconsin was charged with a felony after tying a dog to a car and driving off, ultimately killing the animal.
