Fans will watch WWE Royal Rumble 2016 live stream online and televised pay-per-view coverage on Sunday night live from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. This year’s event will feature a special stipulation on the Rumble match with current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns set to enter at No. 1 and attempt to defend his title in the match. That means making it through the over-the-top battle royal style match with 29 other competitors set to enter throughout the bout. The odds seem stacked against Reigns with names like Brock Lesnar, Ryback, Bray Wyatt and Big Show competing. A total of four matches make up the main PPV with a pre-show also part of the Royal Rumble live streaming and televised coverage Sunday night.
On Jan. 24, Ringside Results reported that there are four title matches will be a part of the main pay-per-view. These will include a Last Man Standing match in which Dean Ambrose defends the Intercontinental Championship against Kevin Owens. Also, Becky Lynch will try to win the WWE Divas Championship from former friend Charlotte, while Kalisto tries to reclaim the United States Championship he lost just days after winning it from Alberto Del Rio this past week. The New Day will be featured as well as they defend their tag titles against multi-time champs, The Usos. It seems Lynch and The Usos are probably biggest favorites to win titles in these matches.
As for the main match, the odds are really against Reigns, and most smart fans feel that he’ll survive almost the duration of the match. Triple H is the most likely surprise entrant since he’s been off TV and not mentioned in weeks. Don’t be surprised if he’s No. 29 or 30 and ends up finding a way to win the title to set up a WrestleMania match against Reigns this year. 5Dimes currently has Triple H listed as a -290 favorite to win the Rumble with the field at +210. Reigns is a +400 underdog, so if risk takers feel he might last, it’s a good bet to look at. Brock Lesnar is +500 while Bray Wyatt is a +850 price.
In terms of surprise returns or predictions, the biggest surprises could be from former TNA stars or current NXT stars getting involved. Those names might include AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Austin Aries. Of those, AJ Styles may be the biggest lock to enter as he’s been recently signed by WWE. 5Dimes has prop bets on Balor at +150 to be one of the entrants or -190 to not be. Samoa Joe is at -125 to be one versus -115 to not be one, and Daniel Bryan is also listed at +155 to be one versus -195 to not be. A few other names mentioned include Jessie James and of course the biggest surprises would be guys like Randy Orton, John Cena or former champ Seth Rollins getting into the match. All three are dealing with injuries and time off so it seems unlikely though.
