The Warriors vs. Spurs live stream online and televised 2016 NBA game highlights the sports schedule on Saturday night as San Antonio hosts Golden State in what could be a Western Conference Finals preview. It goes without saying, but no team has been hotter than Golden State this past season as they continue to approach a record which will make NBA history. The Spurs have managed to keep pace despite a few of their veterans suffering injuries. Now they’ll try to hand the Warriors yet another loss to narrow the distance between them in the standings, while Golden State will try to give the Spurs their first home loss of the season. The 2016 NBA live streaming and televised presentation comes via ESPN and ABC networks on Saturday evening.
According to ESPN.com in their March 19 report, the two teams will make history when they tip off tonight as combine for the highest winning percentage between two teams through at least 50 games into the season. The record was previously set by a 1972 game featuring the Bucks and Lakers. The 1995-96′ Chicago Bulls were also on the list, in third place, for a 1996 meeting with the Orlando Magic. However, Golden State and San Antonio have a combined winning percentage of .881 which outdoes that Bucks-Lakers stat of .832. It goes to show that these two teams are considered the best of the Western Conference due to their winning ways this season, which makes tonight’s game much bigger. A win by Golden State puts more distance over the second-place Spurs in the standings, while a win by San Antonio draws them that much closer. The only problem will be San Antonio can’t control how other teams perform against this juggernaut team.
Golden State (30-6 away) arrives to tonight’s road game after a 130-112 win at Dallas to push their latest winning streak to seven games. Six of the games came on their home court, with a loss happening at the Staples Center against the Lakers in another ABC-televised matchup. The Spurs come into this game as winners of five-straight games and they haven’t been over “cupcake” teams recently. Victories have included a 21-point rout of the Clippers and an eight-point win over Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder. All five victories have come on their home court, which is where tonight’s game will be played. While Golden State coming to town usually makes the home team an underdog, it won’t be the case in tonight’s anticipated matchup.
Despite just six losses on the season, Golden State won’t be the favorite in tonight’s matchup as the Spurs are favored by 4-1/2 points on the spread. San Antonio hasn’t lost once all season on their home court, with a record of 34-0 going into tonight’s game. They’re listed at -190 on the moneyline, while Golden State is a +170 underdog. Tonight’s over/under points total is hovering around 218 points for the game. These two teams have ranked as the top two teams overall on the Vegas Insider future odds to win the NBA Finals with the Warriors at 5 to 7 and the Spurs at 3 to 1. The Cleveland Cavaliers rank third with odds of 18 to 5 to win it all, followed by Oklahoma City at 17 to 1.
