Fans will watch Warriors vs. Clippers live stream online and televised coverage on Saturday night, as Golden State will be coming off a disappointing fifth loss of the season. On Friday night, they were handed that loss by Damian Lillard and the Portland Trailblazers in what could be a first round playoff preview. This game could be a preview of a later round depending how the two teams finish. Los Angeles recently added Jeff Green to their roster who will look to make an impact as the 2016 NBA live streaming online and televised coverage comes via ABC and ESPN Saturday night.
According to ESPN.com in their Feb. 20 game preview, former Memphis Grizzlies player Jeff Green, now with the Clippers, will make his debut for the team in tonight’s game. Green was acquired in a trade which saw Los Angeles deal Lance Stephenson and a draft pick to the Grizzlies in an effort to get a roster player to help them in the playoffs. Green is considered the help they need as head coach Doc Rivers said, “When you look at the teams we have to beat, we need to get longer, more athletic, and we need to increase our shooting. I think with Jeff we did all three of those things.” Green comes over with averages of 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and just under two assists per game.
The Warriors come into this matchup having just dropped a road loss to the Portland Trailblazers on Friday night, 137-105. Portland guard Damian Lillard showed just why he may been the biggest of All-Star snubs, as he dropped 51 points and snatched seven rebounds in the victory. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 54 points in the losing effort, with Golden State shooting just 39 percent compared to 53 percent for the Trailblazers. The loss put the Warriors at 48-5 overall, with all five of their losses coming on the road this season. They’ll try to bounce back on Saturday with a win over a potential playoff opponent for later in the Western Conference brackets.
After last night’s loss, Golden State finds themselves as just four-point favorites on the road at the Staples Center tonight. Of note, the Warriors are 12-1 straight up and 10-3 against the spread on the second game of a back-to-back situation. On the moneyline, Los Angeles is a +145 underdog at home while the Warriors are -165 favorites. The over/under points total is currently at 224 for the complete game. Future odds continue to have the Golden State Warriors as top favorites to win the 2015-16 NBA Finals at odds of 5 to 7. The Clippers rank fifth on the list at odds of 30 to 1 right now.
