The Packers vs. Cardinals live stream online and televised 2015 NFL matchup will be among the top games to watch from the Week 16 schedule on Sunday. This game features two teams heading to the postseason, both of whom have the potential to win the Super Bowl in 2016. Arizona currently sports a 12-2 overall record and is 5-1 on their home field, while Green Bay has gone 10-4 with a 5-2 road record. With star receiver Tyrann Mathieu out for the season, today’s game could come down to Arizona’s ground game, or how well Green Bay can defend against it. On Sunday the two NFC heavyweights will compete in an early playoff preview, as the 2015 NFL live streaming and televised action arrives via Fox and Fox Sports networks.
According to ESPN.com in their Dec. 27 game preview, this game could come down to the rushing attack that the Cardinals will bring with rookie David Johnson. He’s the third guy in line at the position after Chris Johnson fractured his left tibia back in late November and Andre Ellington has been hampered by turf toe. Johnson has filled in well though, averaging 5.4 yards per carry so far in three starts. He also went off for an impressive 187-yard performance last week as the Cardinals routed Philadelphia, 40-17. Green Bay has allowed backs to get 100 yards or more in their past four games, and the Packers are 26th in average yards allowed per run. That could spell another big day for Johnson on Sunday.
Both teams are in the playoffs, but Arizona would love to get a win over a potential team they’ll meet in the postseason. Not only that, a win by the Cardinals coupled with back-to-back losses by Carolina could give Arizona overall home field advantage in the NFC bracket. Green Bay has won three straight games, and four of their last five, but only one of those teams looks to be amongst playoff squads. Last week saw quarterback Aaron Rodgers throw for 204 yards, a touchdown and one interception to help his team take down the Oakland Raiders 30-20. That win helped them clinch a playoff berth, but a win today could launch their momentum into the NFC playoffs.
The Arizona Cardinals are home favorites of six points for Sunday’s game. On the moneyline, they’re priced at -245, while Green Bay is a +225 underdog. The over/under points total will be around 50 for the complete game. In terms of Super Bowl contenders, both these teams are among the top five favorites. Arizona has quietly been the third overall favorite with odds of 5 to 1 to win it all, trailing only New England and Carolina. Green Bay is fifth overall with odds of 12 to 1 to win the Super Bowl, making this a must see matchup for NFL fans.
