Wednesday’s Mavericks vs. Warriors live stream online and televised game coverage will feature Golden State trying for their 42nd win of the season. The team is currently on pace to break the NBA record set by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls, who went 72-10 on their season and won the NBA Championship to cap it off. Head coach Steve Kerr was a part of that team and would now be a part of the new record, but as the coach. The game also features Golden State trying to defeat the only team they haven’t defeated this season, the Dallas Mavericks. With Stephen Curry in the lineup this time and the homecourt advantage, fans could very well see that on the 2016 NBA live streaming and televised game coverage.
According to ESPN.com on Jan. 27, tonight’s matchup will also see the Warriors going for their 40th straight win at home, which would tie the regular season mark by Orlando between March of 1995 and March of 1996. The only team with a better winning streak at home in the history of the league is that Chicago Bulls team. They had 44-straight wins at home between March 30, 1995 and April 4, 1996. Right now, Golden State is on a four-game win streak and some of those victories in themselves have been impressive. They’ve defeated several of the other teams considered contenders for the championship, and by large margins. Most recently, it was a 30-point win over San Antonio, the second-best team in terms of record in the league.
Tonight the 26-21 Mavericks come to town and last time they played, Dallas won at home 114-91, to hand Golden State their second loss of the season. In that game, Dallas outrebounded the Warriors by a margin of 52-37, and shot 51.2 percent from the floor including 14-of-27 from three-point range. Six Mavs scored in double digits including J.J. Barea’s game-high 23 points. Zaza Pachulia added a doubled-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds. The Warriors were without Curry as mentioned and Ian Clark was the unlikely team high scorer with 21 points off the bench. Dallas enters tonight’s game 3-2 in their last five games, but the two losses came to playoff-caliber teams from the Western Conference.
On the point spread, Golden State opened as a large favorite at home of 13-1/2 points. They have since moved up as high as 17-point favorites to win tonight, with the over/under at 214 points to 216 points. On the moneyline, Golden State are huge favorites at -4500 with Dallas priced as +2250 underdogs. The Warriors continue to lead all teams on the future odds list as 8 to 5 favorites to win the NBA Finals. Dallas is listed as 300 to 1 favorites, currently tied with the Charlotte Hornets and New York Knicks who are currently not among the top eight teams in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.
