Saturday’s Kentucky vs. South Carolina live stream online and televised 2016 NCAA game will feature two of the top teams in the SEC battling it out for the conference lead. Right now, the Gamecocks, Wildcats and LSU Tigers all have 8-3 records to lead the conference, but a win for Kentucky or South Carolina on Saturday afternoon helps them gain a bit of room over one of the teams. LSU will have its hands full at No. 15 Texas A&M around the same time. Will it be the Wildcats or Gamecocks moving up to 9-3 after Saturday’s important game? The 2016 NCAA basketball live streaming and televised game arrives through ESPN networks.
On Feb. 12, the WTOP website reported that South Carolina comes into this huge home matchup with plenty of momentum after wins over No. 15 Texas A&M and LSU in its past two games. Kentucky has also won their last two games and have done so by a stunning margin of 26.5 points. However, they’re also 2-5 in true road games this season, which could bode well for the Gamecocks at home, where they expect a sellout crowd on hand in Columbia. South Carolina is looking to upset the No. 22 team, although as of this point it wouldn’t be much of an upset based on the fact that these two teams are tied with LSU at the top of the SEC. A handful of other teams in the conference are just three games out of the top spot, making it even more crucial to grab the win.
In their last game, Kentucky routed Georgia at Rupp Arena by a final of 82-48. Guard Jamal Murray scored 24 points on 8-for-14 field goal shooting and 6-of-10 free throws, while fellow guard Tyler Ulis added 14 points and eight rebounds. The Wildcats shot nearly 52 percent as a team and forced the Bulldogs to 15 turnovers and held them to a paltry 22 percent field goal rate. Murray missed a practice on Thursday but is expected to play in Saturday’s game despite banging his knee in the Georgia win. He’ll be the player to watch as the first player in the history of the Wildcats to hit at least one three-point shot in each of his first 24 games. Right now, his 18.5 points a game is the highest average of any player coached by John Calipari on the Wildcats.
Vegas odds makers first started the point spread at a point in favor of the Wildcats, but the line has moved up to as much as 2-1/2 points in their favor at several books. The over/under points total is currently around 147-1/2 to 149 points for the complete game. On the future odds list, Kentucky is currently a 20 to 1 favorite to win the NCAA Men’s Tournament, making them tied for seventh overall with the Duke Blue Devils. The South Carolina Gamecocks currently have odds of 250 to 1, making them much more of a longshot to win it all.
