Fans will watch Duke vs. Pittsburgh live stream online and televised game coverage as the 2016 NCAA basketball schedule continues Sunday. As of right now, both teams are projected to make the field of teams for the NCAA Tournament, with the No. 15 Blue Devils considered a No. 4 seed and Pittsburgh clinging to a lower seed. Duke is also still within reach of the conference title as they’re just a game and a half behind the ACC-leading Tar Heels. However, a win would be huge for the Panthers in terms of the March Madness aspirations. The 2016 NCAA live streaming and televised matchup will be shown thanks to CBS networks on Sunday.
The News & Observer reported on Feb. 27 that this will be an emotional test for the Blue Devils as they face an NCAA bubble team on the road in Pittsburgh. The Panthers provide a triple threat of scorers which includes Jamel Artis along with point guard James Robinson and forward Michael Young. The trio averages 41 points per game along with over 15 rebounds and about 11 assists. The unselfish nature of the Panthers stands out most though, as this team is tied for No. 7 in the country in assists, with an average of 17.7 dishes per game. Robinson leads the team with 5.2 per game, but it’s really a balanced effort amongst the entire team.
As for the Blue Devils, they are currently at 10-5 in the ACC, which has them 1-1/2 games behind the leaders, North Carolina. With a win over the Tar Heels and the last game of the season against them, Duke will look to continue to win and hold onto a possible shot at taking the ACC title. While they lost at Louisville three days after the UNC road win, Duke bounced back a few days ago with a home victory against the Florida State Seminoles, 80-65. Grayson Allen had 18 points to lead the way with Brandon Ingram adding 16. Duke shot just 43 percent from the field compared to 50 percent for FSU and was out rebounded 36-34, but it was the turnovers that ultimately caused the Seminoles’ demise as they had 15 compared to only five for Duke.
The point spread first opened in Vegas as two points in favor of the Blue Devils, but the line has moved to a “pick” or even situation at several books since then. The over/under points total is around 148 points for the complete game. In terms of beating the spread, Duke is 16-12 overall and 5-5 on the road, while the Panthers are 14-13 overall and 8-10 at home ATS. Right now, Duke is considered a 14 to 1 favorite to win the National Championship, with Pitt much more of a longshot at odds of 125 to 1 to win it all. The field is currently listed at 75 to 1 odds on the futures list.
