Viewers will watch Cavs vs. Warriors live stream online and televised 2015 NBA coverage on Christmas Day in what will be a rematch of last year’s exciting NBA Finals. The current reigning champions, Golden State, have started with one of the best records in history at 26-1 so far this season. LeBron James and Cleveland are looking to get themselves back to the championship picture and will use this early season matchup as a test. They’ll now have star point guard Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love both a part of their lineup now that was missing during the NBA Finals, making this one to watch for basketball fans. The 2015 NBA live streaming and televised action arrives courtesy of ESPN and ABC networks on Christmas Day.
According to CBS Sports in their Dec. 24 report, this game ranks as their top game out of the five Christmas Day matchups to watch and rightfully so. So far, Golden State has made a laughingstock of most teams from the Eastern Conference, but now they’ll get a true test as King James brings his royal court to their court in Oakland. James is 2-0 in Christmas Day games during his superstar career, and the losers of the NBA Finals carry a record of 4-2 in rematches on that day. Does that all point to Cleveland handing Golden State its second loss of the season, or are the Warriors just too powerful to be stopped right now?
As avid fans know, Golden State is led by reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry, who currently leads the league with over 30 points per game scored. He’s backed up by “Splash Brothers” teammate Klay Thompson as well as Draymond Green. Of note, Harrison Barnes has been sidelined due to injury for several weeks now and is not expected to play in this matchup. Even without Barnes, Golden State has continued to add wins to their record, albeit against teams that just don’t seem to be on the same level right now. A full strength Cleveland team poses the perfect way to see whether or not these champions have everything it takes to repeat when the 2015 postseason hits.
Odds makers give them the edge at home too, as Golden State is favored by seven points on the spread. For moneyline bettors, the Warriors opened at a price of -300 while Cleveland was a +230 underdog. Over/under bettors will have a total of 210 points to consider for the complete game. In terms of future odds, viewers will be treated to the top two favorites to win the NBA Finals in the playoffs. Golden State leads all teams with odds of 5 to 4 to win the title while Cleveland is second at odds of 3 to 1. The only teams remotely close to them are San Antonio at 18 to 5 and then Oklahoma City at 14 to 1 odds.
