Kawhi Leonard registered 20 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to lead the Spurs to victory.
The loss snapped an eight-game winning streak that the Cavs were riding on this road trip and tonight they face a Houston team on a five-game winning streak. Most recently, the team dispatched of the Minnesota Timberwolves 107-104 at home. All-Star guard James Harden had 27 points and 11 assists to lead the way for his team. Dwight Howard recorded a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds, while forward Terrence Jones added 16 points off the bench. The Rockets shot nearly 50 percent for their field goals in the game with James Harden saying part of the team’s recent success is they’ve been able to get stops and buckets to “grind it out.”
The Cavs were first listed as 4-1/2 points favorites for the Vegas point spread, but have since dropped to as low as one point favorites, with some books listing the game as a “pick” situation. On the moneyline, some books have Houston priced at -115 as favorites with the Cavs at -110. Tonight’s over/under points total is set around 204 for the game. On future odds, Cleveland is second in terms of favorites to win the NBA Championship at 14 to 5, while Houston is listed as more of a longshot down the list at 100 to 1, trailing teams like the Pacers, Raptors, Heat and Celtics.
