The Bulls vs. Lakers live stream online and televised basketball game highlights the 2016 NBA schedule on Thursday. This matchup will be a part of a televised doubleheader with special on court footage available online. The game features Eastern Conference contenders, Chicago, as they look to pick up a win over the struggling Los Angeles Lakers. It’s Kobe Bryant’s final season of his career, so will he have something special in store for this latest game at the Staples Center? The 2016 NBA live streaming and televised action comes via TNT networks Thursday night.
In an ESPN.com report on Jan. 27 it’s noted that the retiring Lakers NBA All-Star and champion, Kobe Bryant, has been dealing with several injuries this season which have seen him sit out games. Most recently, he sat out Tuesday’s 92-90 home loss against the Dallas Mavericks due to a sore right shoulder. It was the same shoulder he had season-ending surgery on last season after 35 games played. Tuesday was his ninth missed game this season in what will be his final season ever. Bryant has not only say out games this season for the shoulder but also back issues and a strained right Achilles. In addition, he’s sat out games simply to rest. Kobe was the leading vote-getter for the All-Star team this year and will be a starter, unless injury keeps him out.
Tonight Kobe is listed as probable, as is fellow NBA MVP Derrick Rose, another injury-plagued star. Rose’s absence hasn’t necessarily hurt Chicago with the emergence of their newer star, Jimmy Butler, who will also be among the All-Stars this year. Butler was named to the Eastern Conference reserves on Thursday night, which will make for his second-straight appearance in the game. Butler is averaging 22.3 points a game, 5.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists. Chicago currently sports a 25-19 record, ranking them fourth overall in the East behind Toronto, Atlanta and Cleveland. The team will look to bounce back from their 89-84 home loss to Miami on Monday night.
Tonight’s point spread is about eight points in favor of the visiting Chicago Bulls. The over/under points total is 200 for the complete game. Chicago is just 8-11-0 against the spread on the road, while the Lakers are 10-11-0 at home ATS. On the future odds list, the Bulls are among the teams in the top 10 for potential NBA Finals winners. They have odds of 30 to 1 to win it all, which is sixth overall amongst NBA contenders. The Los Angeles Lakers are not even on the future odds list any more, as they are nearly out of contention for a playoff spot at the rate they have been losing.
