The Buccaneers vs. Rams live stream online and televised 2015 NFL game will be the featured matchup for Thursday Night Football as both teams cling to hopes of making the playoffs. Both teams also featured dynamic rookies on the offensive side of the field, with quarterback Jameis Winston for Tampa Bay and running back Todd Gurley for St. Louis. Can the Tampa Bay Bucs get the much-needed win to boost their postseason hopes, or will St. Louis claim a home victory to crush their opponent’s hopes? Viewers can watch tonight’s Tampa Bay – St. Louis live streaming and televised action thanks to NFL Network and other sources on Thursday evening.
According to ESPN.com in their Dec. 17 preview, it’s reported that the Rams currently rank second-to-last in terms of average attendance for NFL games at 52,560 people per game. Their stadium currently holds 66,000 and there’s been talks of the team possibly moving out of St. Louis and to a new venue. League owners are set to meet in Houston in mid-January to begin the relocation talks for a team that has been in St. Louis since 1995 when they moved over from Los Angeles. As for tonight, they have lesser hopes of making the playoffs than Tampa Bay, who is No. 7 overall and right on the cusp. A win for the Rams gives them a winning record at home for the season and pushes the Bucs farther from the postseason.
Quarterback Jameis Winston leads the Bucs, as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft has been among the top rookie performers this season. Winston currently has 3,059 yards and 18 touchdown passes for the season and a QB rating of just 62.2 overall. The team is also fourth-best in the league in rushing thanks to running back Doug Martin’s team-leading 1,214 yards as well as 419 from Charles Sims, and almost 200 yards from the QB. Speaking of rushing, the Rams feature an impressive rookie running back in Todd Gurley as the No. 10 pick of the latest draft has nearly 1,000 yards on the season along with eight touchdowns on 189 attempts. Tonight’s game may come down to which team gets the better running game going, as Tampa Bay will try to even their record and stay in the playoff hunt.
The odds makers in Vegas first had Tampa Bay open as two point favorites, but since then there’s been a shift to St. Louis becoming three point favorites on the spread at various books. For the moneyline, the Rams are -135 favorites while the Buccaneers are +125 underdogs. Tonight’s over/under points total will be at or around 41 points for the game. Neither team is currently among top contenders for the Super Bowl, with Tampa Bay a serious longshot at 500 to 1 on the future odds list, and St. Louis currently not listed.
