The Hornets vs. Heat Game 5 live stream online and televised 2016 NBA Playoffs matchup features one of several Eastern Conference series that could go the full seven games. Charlotte bounced back with two-straight victories at home to even this series at 2-2, leaving Miami scratching their heads about how to solve “Buzz City.” Now they’ll be back at American Airlines Arena, where they won the first two games of this series. This will be a crucial game to give one of these teams the edge heading towards the sixth game and it appears the Hornets will get back a key player. 2016 NBA live streaming and TV coverage of this playoffs game comes via TNT.
According to Sun Sentinel in an April 27 report, the Hornets may have good news as Nicolas Batum looks to return to action for Charlotte. Batum missed Game 4 due to re-injuring his left ankle, and was said to be a “game-time decision” by the coaching staff. However, it appears he has every intention of getting onto the court to try to help the Hornets capture a much needed victory away form home. Charlotte’s head coach Steve Clifford has said he wanted Batum to run through pre-game warm-ups before making the ultimate decision on his status. Batum averaged 16.5 points in the first two meetings in Miami and will likely come off the bench rather than start.
As for Miami, there are no key injuries being reported as the team will try to use the energy in their home building to put themselves one win away from the next round. Game 3 saw the Hornets run away with the game in the second half, but Game 4 was decided closer to the final buzzer. It was an 89-85 win by the home team thanks to 34 points from Kemba Walker and another 21 points from Jeremy Lin. In particular, Lin, who seemed to be invisible in the first two games, stepped up his performances for the next two in Charlotte. The Heat will need to cut down on turnovers, as they once again were more than double the amount Charlotte had for the game.
The Vegas Insider site has a consensus point spread of six points in favor of the Miami Heat at home tonight.
