It is difficult these days to keep up with solid, unbiased news about Hillary Clinton news with a far-left liberal, mainstream media that report every negative item, newsworthy or not, about their favorite anti-Christ, Donald Trump 24/7. It is a rarity to see an honest and open discussion about any of Ms. Clinton’s many pending issues even with 54 percent the American people polled distrust her amid the FBI criminal investigation, among other campaign threatening topics.
These stories are traditionally buried on page 14 of the front section of the nation’s most left-leaning newspapers including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times and others too numerous to count. Potential November voters have been subjected to the constant Trump-bashing amplified to ear-smashing volume always on page one.
Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton is treated with kid gloves. It is not the fact that Trump isn’t a polarizing candidate, but one would think no one else is running for president with the enormity of his negative publicity. Is any one candidate this much of a pariah as portrayed by our mainstream media? What are they so afraid of?
One prime example of the media providing Hillary with a “Get out of jail” card is her stated stance on Wall Street and where she stands concerning those that work there. Currently she is doubling down on a strategy of not releasing transcripts of speeches she gave to Goldman Sachs and other investment banks. Why is that if she has nothing to hide? She has said over and over that she will “clean up Wall Street.” Really, is that what she plans to do?
The former secretary of state refuses to release any of the transcripts, even after her rival Bernie Sanders publicly demanded it. One unnamed campaign staffer said in her defense, “She’s not going to basically create a standard that isn’t applied to anyone else in this race.”
The fact is, there is nobody else being asked to, in essence, qualify her credibility from the very public Hillary to the secretly corporate Hillary that receives big time donations for speaking engagements from Wall Street big wigs. Hillary has seen her marks fall with Americans when they are asked whether they trust her or see her as honest. The transcript questions only raise more doubts about her truly leveling with Americans.
With her back closer to the wall than ever before, Clinton has previewed her line of attack on Donald Trump. She told The New York Daily News that Trump gave lucrative talks to paid audiences, and that she would press him to release the transcripts. She made no specifics in her accusation. Her dubious reason, “I have reason to believe Donald Trump has, for money, spoken for rather considerable amounts. It is a lot more than I was ever offered.”
Clinton allies are confident the issue will fade once the primary is over. They are saying the same thing about ‘emailgate’ and the Clinton Foundation FBI criminal investigations. The fact is, Trump has asked for zero donations and funds his own campaign. The idea that as president he will be owned by corporate lobbyists is ludicrous. Can anyone say with Hillary Clinton’s history as a politician that will be true of President Clinton?
