While the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign has become increasingly confident that it is going to beat back the challenge from Bernie Sanders, the venerable socialist from Vermont, not all is happy with the slog to the nomination. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Saturday that a group of Black Lives Matter protesters was booted from a Clinton rally for holding up some unflattering signs In the meantime, Bill Clinton got into a shouting match with a group of hecklers, including a military veteran, irate about the VA and the Benghazi Massacre.
Meagan Mwanda and Ashona Husbands were given signs to wave at a Clinton rally at Georgia State University. The signs read “Ready 4 Hillary.” They decided to write on the back of the signs “Black Lives Matter.” For this. The two students were escorted from the rally venue by Atlanta Police Department officers, who may or may not have been acting on behalf of the Hillary Clinton campaign.
In Bluffton, South Carolina, Bill Clinton got into a shouting match with a former Marine, unidentified.
“During an appearance in Bluffton, South Carolina on Friday, a former Marine interrupted Clinton’s speech and asked him to address what Hillary was going to do about the VA.
“’What do you think should be done with the VA?’ Clinton said in a raspy voice, turning the question back on him and yielding the floor.
“’The thing is, we had four lives in Benghazi killed and your wife tried to cover it up,’ the Marine responded, eliciting boos and jeers from the crowd.”
Things went downhill from there until the former Marine was escorted from the venue by sheriff’s deputies. An unidentified woman also joined in, jeering the former president about his wife’s various misdeeds.
The takeaway from these two incidents is that even if Hillary Clinton becomes the nominee of the Democratic Party while evading prosecution, she is going to go into the general election with quite a few people, including some of her alleged constituency, angry with her. Clinton has always approached political combat by attacking her opponents, whomever they may be. How she is going to react to being disliked by many of the voters remains to be seen.
