For nine years, beautiful Hema was a beloved member of her family – but when they moved out of the country, they had to leave her behind. Now this heartbroken girl is hoping that you can help her find a home for the holidays.
Until this past May, Hema was a typical, friendly, happy, easygoing kitty, but after almost a decade of love and security, she found herself at a cat shelter surrounded by strangers. Hema’s family tried to find her a new home before they left the country, but Hema doesn’t understand that. All that she knows is that she’s no longer home and she’s no longer with the people who loved her unconditionally.
Hema is sad, confused, and stressed – and she needs someone who understands what she’s been through. Hema is so beautiful, with her uniquely patterned silver tabby coat and gorgeous blue eyes, that everyone wants to pet her. In her home, she allowed people to pick her up and loved to be petted. She was kind and good with children. In the shelter and adoption room, though, she exhibits her stress and sadness by swatting the very people who would like to love and pet her.
This sad, confused girl is sweet when she’s one-on-one with people, but in the loud, busy adoption room, she’s very stressed. As hard as the volunteers try to make it pleasant, it is JAIL, and nobody does well in jail. You can’t blame Hema for being angry at her circumstances.
Hema isn’t much of a lap cat, but she can still be a wonderful companion. She loves to be brushed and scratched and will hang out with you, given the opportunity. Hema has lived with children of various ages and has done well with them but doesn’t tolerate dogs or other cats well, so she will do best as the only animal in her household. This beauty needs and deserves a secure and loving home for her golden years.
Those who seem to be the toughest are often hurting the most. Can you look past Hema’s tough exterior, remember that she’s upset and desperate, and help her find a loving forever home?
Please help Hema find her happily ever after. If that home is with you, she’ll reward you with love and affection – and she’ll be grateful forever. Please, spring this sweetheart from “jail” and give her the second chance at love and happiness that she so deserves.
Hema is currently waiting to meet you at the Woodinville PetSmart, located at 17845 Garden Way NE. She qualifies for Purrfect Pals’ December adoption special – all cats aged seven and up are 50% off. And if you aren’t looking to adopt at this time, please SHARE Hema’s story so she can find a family.
