Coco was rescued by A Wish for Animals! She is safe and will no longer have to breed litter after litter.
Coco hasn’t had a chance in her short life. She was abused by the people who made her have litter after litter of puppies that they could sell. She is only three years old, and yet her body looks like that of a much older female from the way her breasts hang low from nursing and caring for many litters of puppies.
Her heartless owners left her at the shelter with two of her older puppies — both were killed. The cold-hearted people also kept the puppies she has been nursing, probably so they could make one last profit from Coco’s misery. Coco has been at the shelter for over six weeks. That’s a long time at the Carson Animal Care Center where animals are killed frequently.
She is really a great dog, and written on her kennel care are the words “Very nice girl!” But she has been overlooked, and at this time there is no interest in her. She is not cute and fluffy. She looks like a dog who has lived a hard life. But Coco has a heart of gold, and anyone who gives her a chance by adopting her will have a faithful companion for life. She will appreciate any kindness because she has known none. She will return any love shown to her tenfold because it will be the first time in her life she has received love.
Coco did well on her temperament test. Staff and volunteers love her. Please help save her! She is overdue and can be killed at any time. Please share her story. Don’t let her follow her two children and be killed without ever having known a gentle hand and a loving heart. A foster offer would save her life.
In this video, you can see how sweet she is and why she got a great result on her temperament test. She’s great with people and other dogs. The volunteers say she’s a great dog, but in her video, she’s sad and lays on her bed with her head cradled in her paws. Here is another video where she looks lost and depressed. She looks too sad to move. She has several threads on Facebook; here is one thread, the thread with her shelter flyer, and the original thread. Her current status will be available on her PetHarbor page.
