Motherbrook Arts & Community Center of Dedham transforms itself into a hot spot for guitar lovers and listeners March 20, 2016. Hosted by Berkeley College of Music professor Jon Finn and professional guitarist Steve Marchena. Open Mic Guitar-aoke is just what it sounds like. Acoustic and electric guitarists jam in front of an audience of guitar lovers, first timers and experienced guitarists are welcome. The focus is to bring back the community engagement that was once found in the old-time music stores infusing the modern technology of today into the gap and have fun living the dream.
The event kicks off tomorrow afternoon Sunday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. located conveniently at 123 High St. Dedham, MA in the MACC auditorium. Listen and learn, play and explore, ask the questions that have gone unanswered about the latest technology or the best genre within your skill level.

Professional Guitarist Steve Marchena
Steve Marchena has a list of accolades to his credit. Recently forming the acoustic orchestra TALZTOP an original Led Zepplin Tribute Project performing on the southern shores of Boston each summer currently in it’s fourth season. Co-founder of the Good Art Series an opportunity for performance artists of all kinds to perform for the public. Audiences of all ages frequent the ongoing series year long based in Dedham. Steve M. has been tutoring students in the area for a number of years receiving classical instruction at the Berkeley College of Music and beyond, perfecting the art form to his credit is a life long passion. Audiences and critics over the years respect and appreciate his mastery of the guitar.

Professional Guitarist Jon Finn
Jon Finn has been working with up and coming musicians as a professor at Berkeley College of Music for many years. Guest performer with the Boston Pops and founder of the Jon Finn Group an incredible montage of guitarists and performing artists Mr. Finn has made his mark permanently on the music industry. Sharing his mastery all over the world in panel discussions, master classes Jon F. has dedicated his life to helping others developing quite a large following not to exclude a Grammy nomination. Featured on a host of solo albums and ventures to include musical theater and hit Broadway productions.

The creative energy and passion for the instrument brought to life by Steve Marchena and Jon Finn is infectious.
