Spring comes into full swing this April as New York City comes out of hibernation and warms up to some exciting events. NYC indie label Deep Root Records has prepared three upcoming events with a whole host of talented headliners, starting with DJ Mossel, from Greece. Mossel has performed at Ultra Music Europe, Vh1 Supersonic, MAD Awards, Color Day Festival, and is a resident at Massive Story in Greece. In the past years Mossel has played with the likes of Martin Garrix , Julian Jordan , Jay Hardway , SICK INDIVIDUALS , and Matisse & Sadko.
Deep Root Record label head Francis Mercier gives us more insight on this collaboration, “During the summer of 2015 I traveled with label mate Dean Mickoski to Europe, where we began our first tour overseas. We were very fortunate to play at some major clubs and festivals in Macedonia, Germany, and Italy. During our time in Europe we came across Mossel’s manager, a friend of Dean’s, who heard about what we were doing in NY. At the end of one of our shows he asked if we were open to bringing Mosel to the US. On the flight back to New York I had a chance to listen Mossel music and live performances, and was really impressed by some of his records. I then lopped in my manager, and we both knew we needed to make something happen next summer. A little less than a year later here we are!” says Francis Mercier, whose remix of “EGO” has been spreading worldwide, and Deep Root Record’s artists: POSSE, Dean Mickoski, and MEMBA, will be the main acts during Deep Root Records “Mykonos Meets NY” parties.
DJ Mossel will be performing at three events this April. Other performers include POSSE, who is the duo behind the UK garage hit “Gravity”. Dean Mickoski is one of NY’s biggest DJ’s, who has played at Space Ibiza NYC, Pacha NYC, Santos Party House, and every other major venue in NYC. MEMBA are the new and rising artist collective in NYC, responsible for this crazy remake of “New York”.
The 1st party will be held at one of NY’s most popular rooftops, Sky Room in the heart of NYC, on April 8th. Deep Root Records will be bringing in Miami’s finest, Jeff Molner to start the night off. If you are a Miami resident you have definitely heard of this rising star, who is responsible for this killer club mix of Shaggy’s “I Need Your Love”. The 2nd party will be hosted during St.Cloud’s Grand Opening, on April 15th, which is slated to be one of NYC’s finest rooftops. The final party will be held at the coveted Bryant Park Hotel on April 16th, in their underground venue Cellar Bar.
