It isn’t often that you see a bride give up the limelight of her big day for someone else, but 29-year-old Vitta Cresswell from England is not your typical bride, as she has demonstrated that through her loving support of her elderly relative by taking her into her home when the aging grandmother’s husband passed away 15 years ago.
On April 29 Inside Edition revealed that Vitta’s grandmother Martha Wallbank had asked Vitta during wedding plan talk if she was going to get to be a bridesmaid when the wedding occurred, which prompted the young bride-to-be to see the logic in the idea, since she and her grandmother have always been close.
The English bride also chose to have her wedding on her grandmother’s 100th birthday, too, making the occasion even more memorable for the little old wheelchair-bound lady. It was a touching gesture and one born out of great love and concern to make sure someone who had been there for her when she was young was now being considered in the most important day of her life: her wedding.
Vitta Cresswell may have taken the back seat to let her grandmother bask in the limelight on her milestone birthday, but she is undoubtedly reaping a lot of attention now for having done so, as her story is making the social media rounds and it is highly likely that her wedding will eclipse all others this year unless they, too, decide to choose a bridesmaid like Martha Wallbank, a 100-year-old grandmother with all kinds of spunk and love.
