The GOP Republican Debate 2016 live stream online and televised event will take place on Thursday evening with frontrunner candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz among those the American people will be listening closely to. Trump continues to lead all candidates with Cruz drawing closer as within the next months, a Republican candidate will be selected to run for President of the United States. Will one of these candidates tonight become the replacement for Barack Obama? American viewers will get two more hours of discussion on key issues to help decide. The latest GOP Republican Debate live streaming and televised coverage comes via FOX News on Thursday night.
According to FOX News in their Jan. 14 report, tonight’s debate takes place at North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center. That’s located just 10 miles away from the location of last June’s mass shooting which happened at the Emanuel AME church. So viewers will likely be hearing candidates speak about their feelings towards gun control, a topic brought up strongly by President Obama in his last State of the Union Address. Other things to watch for in tonight’s debate will include possible attacks against Marco Rubio from other candidates, especially Ted Cruz, who has attacked his immigration policies. Jeb Bush has also been attacking over Senate attendance, so expect those to be further exposed with Team Rubio on the defense.
Donald Trump will continue to be under the spotlight, as the other candidates will do their best to rattle him and expose any weaknesses he has in terms of trying to run the country and work on political issues. Meanwhile, Trump has been closing the gap towards Ted Cruz in Iowa, an extremely important state to win over. With that in mind, he could be looking to find ways to attack Cruz in order to gain even more ground on him. Don’t be surprised if Cruz strikes back and confronts Trump when it comes to the “Canada issue.” Cruz’s background as it relates to being born in Canada to an American mother has been a launching point for attacks against him, but he’s likely ready to attack back if confronted.
An undercard debate will be held tonight with those four candidates who didn’t qualify for the main event. That smaller debate will start at 6 p.m. Eastern Time and features Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, former HP Ceo Carly Fiorina, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum. The main debate will feature seven total candidates. They are businessman Donald Trump, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
