Good People Brewing Company (Birmingham, Alabama) recently announced that they will be expanding their distribution area in the coming weeks to include the Florida Panhandle and Central Tennessee.
Craft beer fans in our neighboring states are in for a real treat now that Good People Brewing has taken the leap to expand their out-of-state distribution footprint to dip into the panhandle area of Florida and to extend their reach in Tennessee by including the central portion of the state. Good People has been in lower Alabama for quite some time now, and it only makes sense at this point to strengthen and increase their work with Goldring Gulf Distribution Holdings to include the portions of Florida that are just a stone’s throw away. Their offerings will become available in the panhandle beginning the week of February 29. As for Tennessee, Good People first entered the state by way of Nashville in early 2013 as their first venture into out-of-state distribution. They were met with much love and support in Nashville, and now the folks in Central Tennessee have heard the good news of Good People and are now ready to welcome the brewery to their neck of the woods. Good People has partnered with Hand Family Companies to handle distribution in the Chattanooga, Clarksville and Cookeville markets beginning the week of March 7.
“We couldn’t be more excited to finally break this news,” said Michael Sellers, who cofounded Good People in 2008 with his friend Jason Malone. “Speaking as a small business owner, this is obviously a great opportunity to grow our company. It’s a milestone for everyone here. But speaking as an Alabamian, it’s also a chance to show more folks around the South the kind of quality and character that our state has to offer.”
Craft beer lovers in these areas should pay attention to Good People Brewing’s social media accounts (Facebook & Twitter) in the coming weeks because there are sure to be some amazing launch events in the near future. This is fantastic news for a great local brewery, and comforting information for Alabama beer fans because they now have easy access to the familiar taste of Good People brews when they are on vacation in the Tennessee mountains or Florida’s beaches along the Gulf. Everybody wins here and I will always raise my glass to that. Prost!
