World Golf Hall of Fame members Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Fred Couples, Hale Irwin, Gary Player are all coming to Ridgedale, Missouri, this week to play in the annual Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf on two courses at the sprawling Big Cedar Lodge. This beloved event is more than just golf as it showcases the “great outdoors” and the best of the Ozarks.
If you are a golfer or golf fan, The PGA TOUR Champions event will be a three-day, 54-hole competition at the 9-hole, par-3 Top of the Rock Golf Course and the 18-hole Buffalo Ridge Springs course. Each course is an amenity of Big Cedar Lodge and each poses a different layout and presence when it comes to the sport of golf. Both have a great setting and unique backdrops. Golfers of all levels will feel right at home on these courses, and as is always the case at Big Cedar Lodge, more is in the works.
Tickets are available on a daily and week-long basis here. Come out and see the history of golf all week. Daily Pass Tickets are $25 ($20 when using MasterCard) and allow admission to Top of the Rock and or Buffalo Ridge on any one day during the time frame of April 20-24. If you choose to attend more than one day, you may purchase a Daily Pass for each date, or a Gold Ticket that works for the entire week. Gold Tickets cost $100 ($80 when using MasterCard) and give admission to Top of the Rock and or Buffalo Ridge every day from April 20-24. If you have a Gold Ticket, you can also get access to “Arnie’s Barn” at Top of the Rock.
Looking to bring the entire family out? Family Fun Day at Top of the Rock is Saturday, April 23. Tom Lehman will be the host of a golf clinic on the driving range after play concludes. This should happen at approximately 4 pm. Tickets are free for kids 17 and under with a paid adult. See more here.
Big Cedar Lodge is also a playground for anyone that loves the outdoors. Guests can try their hand at everything from bass fishing to horseback riding to relaxing by the pool. Golfers will Top of the Rock to be a gem of a course and the only par-3 course that is part of an official PGA professional tour event. Gary Player, a golfing legend that is widely regarded as the most-traveled global golfer ever, gives the course high praise that Top of the Rock the world’s best par-3 course.
Play 18 holes of championship golf at Buffalo Ridge Springs. The course was designed by Tom Fazio and was featured in in Golfweek’s 2016 “America’s Best Courses You Can Play” by state listing. It’s challenging and the sights and sounds golfers will experience on this track are exhilarating.
