Now they are ready create some new ones with all the same people reviving their same roles!
According to The Frisky on January 31, the date for the “Gilmore Girls” to come back to life has not been set yet and neither has a title for this revival. What has been set are the roles for all your favorite stars. Netflix confirms the stars who portrayed Lorelai and Rory Gilmore have signed on to revive their roles.
MTV reports that Netflix has made it official. The streaming service is bringing back the “Gilmore Girls” for a final season of the series. Lauren Graham will be back as Lorelai and Alexis Bledel will return as Rory. While this is great to hear, there probably wouldn’t have been a revival show if these two weren’t coming back, after all it is the “Gilmore Girls” that is being revived!
Scott Patterson, who played Luke Danes, the owner of the diner and Kelly Bishop, who played Emily will be back for this new season. Then there’s Sean Gunn as Kirk and Keiko Agena as Lane, who are also coming back. The show ran for seven seasons from 2000 to 2007 and Lauren Graham remembered her time there with a jacket that she shares with her fans in a selfie on Twitter.
She is holding a jacket that says “Property of Gilmore Girls Costume” in the picture, which is captioned, “I CAN NOW CONFIRM: it’s time for me, and this jacket I stole in 2007, to return to work.@netflix #GilmoreGirls.”
The “Gilmore Girls” revival is being called “a limited edition series” which will feature four 90-minute shows, each that takes place during a different season. These new episodes will be available sometime in 2016, reports Netflix.
