2016’s ‘Get the Look’ with L’Oreal Paris has finally arrived! The event? This past Sunday’s 73rd Golden Globe Awards that were held at the Beverly Hills Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA. To start off 2016’s ‘Get the Look’ is Hollywood’s favorite redhead, Julianne Moore.
Julianne Moore hit the Golden Globes red carpet wearing a long sleeve velvet detailed navy blue Tom Ford gown which she paired up with jewelry courtesy of Chopard. What a refreshing change from your typical red carpet black! To allow her dress to play center stage, Julianne turned to L’Oreal Paris celebrity makeup artist Elaine Offers. Elaine created for Julianne a look that wasn’t too strong or overpowering but instead was a look that was a more natural take on glam. As for her nails, Julianne turned to L’Oréal Paris Global Manicurist, Tom Bachik who also went with a natural look to contrast the glamour of the dress. Ready to get the look? Here’s how Elaine and Tom created Julianne’s look for the Golden Globes.
For Julianne’s hair:
Step 1: First thing that Elaine did was to prep Julianne’s skin with Revitalift Volume Filler Serum ($24.99). Afterwards she added a bit of Revitalift Daily Volumizing Moisturizer ($24.99) to her skin and let both liquids to set in to her skin while she was getting her hair done.
Step 2: To control any shine that may occur throughout the evening, Elaine applied by tapping gently on the skin Revitalift Miracle Blur ($24.99). Elaine only applied it to the shine prone areas of the face that were the T-zone area and the chin area
Step 3: Using a personal favorite of Julianne’s True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup ($12.95) in Porcelain/Light Ivory, Elaine applied it all over her face. To further conceal and brighten, Elaine also used Visible Lift Serum Absolute Concealer ($12.99) in Fair and used the Infalillible Pro-Contour Palette ($12.99) for added warmth, shape and dimension to the jaw and cheekbones.
Step 4: On the apples of Julianne’s cheeks, Elaine used a combination of Visible Lift Blur Blush ($12.99) in Soft Berry and Soft Pink ($12.99). To accent the inner eyes and the bridge of Julianne’s nose she used True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator in Golden ($12.99).
Step 5: Elaine shaded Julianne’s eyelids with dusty, rose tones from the Colour Riche La Palette in Nude 2 ($19.99) For an added twinkle, Elaine applied Infallible 24H Eye Shadow in Endless Pearl ($12.99) to the inner corners of the eyelids.
Step 6: To create depth and dimension, Elaine lined the eyes tightly to the lashes using Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner in Charcoal ($9.99) and smudged it gently with a brush. Elaine then used Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner in Brown on the waterlines to sharpen up Julianne’s natural eye shape
Step 7: To finish off the eyes, Elaine curled the lashes and applied a few coats of primer mascara that was topped off with Voluminous Superstar Mascara ($10.99). To complete the look, Elaine applied Colour Riche Lipcolor in Gilded Pink ($8.95) to Julianne’s lips for a hydrated kiss of nude-pink color.
For Julianne’s nails:
The first thing that Tom did was to file the nails into a classic round shape. He then applied L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail Color in Walk on the Beach ($5.99) to Julianne’s nails and let them dry. Once Julianne’s nails were dry, he then applied L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail Color in Top of the Line ($5.99) as a top coat to complete the look. Tom advises to keep a manicure looking fresh and shiny to apply a drop of L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Facial Oil ($24.99) on each nail once or twice a day every day. This also keeps your cuticles completely hydrated.
