This is the middle of the holiday season, with Thanksgiving 2015 already history and Christmas coming soon. Many are decorating, shopping, putting up Christmas decorations and taking care of other holiday activities. During this time it’s good to take a break and catch a movie or play at one of your favorite entertainment venues. If you are looking for a theatre performance that helps ring in the season, make your way out to TheatreWorks to see “Holiday Judgement,” a play written by Memphis Playwright, Ruby Olivia Johnson Gray.
This play deals with an auto accident in which Holly Wilson, a woman with a very bad attitude, hits a paper boy who is delivering papers on his bike. Due to Wilson’s demeanor and carelessness, the paper boy files a legal suit against her. When the incident goes to TV court, Wilson also demonstrates her bad attitude in front of the judge, who rules in favor of the plaintiff, but is at odds on what Holly Wilson’s sentence should be. After some consideration, the judge hands down a judgement like no other court has ever done. Will this decision change Wilson’s attitude, or will it just make it worse? You must come out to see the show to find the answer to this question.
“Holiday Judgement” is directed by Olivia Johnson, and is presented by Bluff City Tri Art Theatre and JET, INC..
