Swedish actress Alicia Vikander walked the red carpet and then walked away a winner at the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles. The 27-year-old actress won the award for “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role,” for her performance in “The Danish Girl”. She wore a floor length sequined gown by Louis Vuitton and needed a sleek hairstyle to balance out the look. Alicia’s hairstylist Chris Naselli devised the perfect style using products by Kérastase Paris.
“I wanted to keep Alicia’s hair smooth, lustrous and polished, with a sleek part paired with the lines of the dress. It’s nothing but chic!”
First Naselli applied a small amount of Kérastase Crème de la Crème from roots to ends, using a comb. Kérastase Crème de la Crème is a thermo protective creme that helps insulate hair from heat damage. Next he rough dried Alicia’s hair about 70 percent of the way through and added Kérastase Keratine Thermique to help protect from heat and control frizz.
Then Naselli began to section and flat iron. First he parted hair in the middle and dried sections with a medium round brush. Next he flat ironed one inch sections of hair working around the head until hair was completely finished. Naselli spritzed a small amount of Kérastase Matérialiste thickening spray gel just on side sections above the ear and used a comb to tuck the hair behind each ear. He blasted the hair with hot air to give the sides hold. Then he used a bobby pin behind each ear to secure.
To finish, Naselli spritzed a few pumps of Kérastase Elixir Ultime Bi-Phase Spray Oil all over head and smoothed hair with a dressing brush. Finally he lightly sprayed Kérastase Fix Fabulous around sides for hold.
