Florida Music Festival and Earthday Birthday may be over until next year, but there are still some big music events happening in and around Orlando this week, April 25 through May 1. Local music fans can head out to a couple of CD release shows or Spring Fest at West End Trading Co. on Saturday, Sort of Cinco Block Party at Wall Street Plaza also on Saturday or Florida Salsa Fest on Sunday in the Thornton Park area.
It was announced this morning that SoulSwitch’s lead singer Tom Huestis will be leaving the Orlando based band. They are planning a farewell show plus Huestis will stay on for the bands upcoming shows in the next two months. The band is currently auditioning new lead singers.
Orlando based musician Froomador releases his debut album, Can’t This Wait Thursday with a show at Will’s Pub. Also on the bill for this show are Mia Mota and Empire Theory.
Saturday at Will’s Pub is the CD release show for Orlando band The Glorious Rebellion’s Euphoric. Kingofalldrunks, Moat Cobra, IGNID and Hollow Leg will be joining the band for this special show.
